ATLANTA – July 13, 2010 – AGL Resources today officially dedicated its expanded Customer Care Call Center in metro Atlanta with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the facility. The center, located on GA Highway 138 in Riverdale, brought more than 74 jobs to the area.
 
“Expansion of our Riverdale call center will allow us to provide the best customer service possible,” said John W. Somerhalder II, chairman, president and chief executive officer, AGL Resources. “It reinforces our commitment to the community with the addition of jobs to the local economy.”
 
The Customer Care Call Center will serve the company’s customer footprint across several states including Georgia, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia. New Jersey customers are served by a new call center that opened last fall in Union, New Jersey.
 
State and local officials, including Gov. Sonny Perdue and Georgia Public Service Commissioner Lauren “Bubba” McDonald, attended the ceremony.
